About Me
I am a very experienced BACP accredited Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I adhere to BACP’s ethical framework and am fully insured. I hold a DBS certificate obtained in school settings.
I have sixteen years experience of working with both adults and young people and my work includes offering therapy in schools, a G.P practice, a hospice, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation setting, a centre for victims and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and within my own private practice.
I am also a trained Therapeutic Life Coach.
Issues I work with include anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, anger, depression, bereavement, relationship issues and many more. Speaking with a counsellor/coach you feel comfortable with can enable you to increase awareness of yourself and others, make sense of thoughts and feelings and find new ways of being and coping.
I work flexibly using specific skills, theory and key concepts drawn from various approaches. I therefore treat each client as a unique individual and tailor your therapy to your needs, which we explore together in a collaborative working relationship. I may introduce different ways of working drawing from different models including person-centred counselling, psychodynamic therapy, C.B.T (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Transactional analysis and E.F.T. (Emotional Freedom Technique).
I offer counselling or short term therapeutic coaching. I work with couples who have relationship and / or sexual issues, and I treat adults and young people who want to improve their mental well-being and emotional health.
